This is Just the Beginning | Follow the GLS Movement Around the World

Last week’s Global Leadership Summit two-day event launched the beginning of a world-wide movement.

More than 125,000 leaders around the United States and abroad came together for inspiration, encouragement and training in order to create a better world through their spheres of influence. We’re already hearing about the incredible ways leaders were impacted, and are excited to share those stories with you in the coming weeks.

But this is just the beginning.

Over the next several months, the GLS will be brought into an additional 125 countries impacting more than 305,000 leaders across the globe. Our hope is that pastors, educators, students, parents, ministry, marketplace and social sector leaders will leave the GLS inspired with a grander vision and equipped to multiply the ripple effect of love and grace in their communities.

Please pray for the GLS during this season. Because of the GLS, the ripple effect of leaders who attend is literally changing lives across the globe.

  • Leaders are being inspired
  • Children are being fed
  • Prisoners are finding their purpose
  • Businesses are running more ethically
  • Hospitals are saving more lives
  • Relationships are being healed
  • Communities are being united
  • Churches are being planted
  • Pastors are not quitting
  • People are discovering Jesus
  • And lives are being transformed

Follow the movement!

As GLS events take place in hundreds of cities over the next several months, follow the movement, pray with us and be inspired by the stories and the images we share on this blog and in social media.

The Ripple Effect: Nepal | Behind the Scenes

Every leader – good or bad – leaves a ripple.  If you think the impact of your actions today are neutral – you’re fooling only yourself.  You’re ALWAYS leading.

And the effect of that ripple has both immediate and far-reaching effects.

On April 25, 2015, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Nepal. The nation was in chaos and struggling to respond to the need. One GLS pastor, Samuel Karthak, leveraged his team and network of churches to provide immediately for the needs scattered across urban Katmandu and remote villages.  And all this happened because of the ripple effect of the Summit, which had occurred for the first time just five months prior in Nepal. Talk about timely!

For the last six years, my team at OX Creative (oxcreates.com) has traveled the world capturing stories of some of the world’s great leaders. Many, like Pastor Samuel, lead quietly—out of the public eye, yet accomplishing very significant work. This past spring, we traveled to Kathmandu to interview this humble man whose leadership impact has rippled across his country. Take an inside look at some of the behind-the-scenes events of our shoot.

The full 2-part story is being shown at the 2016 Global Leadership Summit and we hope you will be as inspired by this story as we were.

These narratives aren’t fictional stories we’ve scripted to provide entertainment. They are real stories of real impact. These leaders face real struggles and they need daily support, courage and faith to lead in these challenging environments. I can tell you from first-hand experience that all around the world, there are leaders who are being impacted by the GLS.

For my team and myself, it is a true privilege to join the Willow Creek Association in encouraging these leaders and telling their stories.

Every day your leadership is leaving a ripple effect. That effect is never neutral. It’s either inspiring or diminishing. Bringing God’s kingdom to earth or pushing it away.

Today, what ripple will you make?
