School Leader Makes Himself Available to God’s Whisper, Saving a Family’s Life

When this leader from the educational sector of Pakistan attended the Summit, he didn’t know how God would use him when he opened himself up to be available to God’s whisper. What happened when he did—saved a family’s life.

At the GLS in Pakistan, I learned that God will use you when you are willing to make yourself available to Him.

So I decided to make myself available.

Little did I know how quickly God would use my open heart.

After attending the Summit, I was on my way home to my village where I run my school. On the way, the Holy Spirit compelled me to get off the bus on the bypass off the main road… and far from home.

I thought, this is so odd. Why should I do that? If I get off the bus here, I have to walk for half an hour!

But I still I got out.

As the bus left, I was alone on the road with no sign of anyone nearby, just traffic passing by.

I stood there and thought, I was silly to get out of the bus.

Annoyed with myself, I was about to call my son when I heard the cry of a woman in the bushes behind me.

I ran to find a woman with two children, a boy age seven, and a girl age nine. They were bruised and bleeding. The woman couldn’t walk and the children were terrified and afraid.

I had a water bottle so I gave it to them. She asked me what religion I followed, and I told her I was Christian.

Then she told me her story, “I accepted the Lord Jesus a year ago when a preacher came to my village. I was hiding it from my husband and in-laws, but they found out. So I was beaten and locked in a room. This morning, my husband was supposed to kill me and my two children. But last night, my neighbor friend helped me run away. We walked all night. We were tired so we hid ourselves in this bush.”

I then understood what the Holy Spirit wanted from me.

I called my son to fetch a rickshaw and come quickly. We took the lady and her children to my village where they are staying with me now. I have admitted her kids into my school, and she is now working in the school as helper.

I cannot thank you enough for the GLS in Pakistan, and for preparing me to always be open and available to God’s whispers.

The GLS Rings Bells in Barbados

“Lead where you are.”

When Ronnie heard these words for the first time at the GLS, it rang his bell.

If you’ve been to the Summit before, you may remember how they talk about God ringing bells through what is taught.

“I felt lit up with passion and desire to bring the GLS to my country, Barbados,” Ronnie shares. “But I felt like such a small fish in a big pond. Six years later, my country hosted the GLS for the first time in March of 2017.”

Since Ronnie followed God’s lead to bring the GLS to Barbados, hundreds of leaders have been able to experience their own bell-ringing moments with God.

“The response we had from people there was overwhelming,” Ronnie explains. “People were very grateful. And even though the event was not live, many people said it was fabulous—worth every cent and more!”

So Ronnie had an idea.

What would happen if he brought a large bell to the Summit in Barbados, and asked people to ring the bell after sessions and during breaks—any time something rang their bell?

“We thought this would be a cool way to know when something was happening in people’s lives,” Ronnie explains.

What we didn’t expect, was that our bell never stopped ringing throughout the Summit!”

By the time the Summit ended, the excitement around the GLS was so high that people had already paid to come to the event next year.

God is at work in Barbados.

Thank you for praying for these bell-ringing moments. And continue to pray for Ronnie and the Barbados team as they make plans to bring godly leadership principles and values to their entire country.
