Ministry and #MeToo
Episode 5
Protecting and Promoting Women in a Ministry Context
Jeff Lockyer
The wake of the #MeToo movement has left many leaders unsure about the boundaries for acceptable behavior in our new reality. In this episode of the Ministry and #MeToo learning journey, pastor Jeff Lockyer shares practical ways that his church has moved forward to both protect and promote women. Faced with a ten-year stalemate in the way women and men interacted at his church (including stagnant numbers of women promoted to senior leadership), his team committed to learning about the root causes of inequality and making positive change. Walk away with innovative and practical interventions that every ministry can implement to promote positive interactions and increase women’s participation in leadership at every level.
