John Venhuizen is the Chief Executive Officer of Ace Hardware, the world’s largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative. Venhuizen joined Ace as a young marketing associate in 1992, and rose through the ranks to become Executive Vice President and ultimately President & CEO. Throughout his tenure, he provided leadership to Ace’s aggressive growth strategy while at the same time facing unprecedented challenges from big box stores and online competitors. He serves on a number of boards and is a graduate of Trinity Christian College.
